Counselor / Therapist Training in the Assessment and Treatment of Compulsive Theft, Spending and / or Hoarding.
Mr. Shulman, a certified licensed social worker and certified addictions therapist since 1997, offers training in-person, by phone, or via videoconferencing, for the assessment and treatment of compulsive stealing (especially shoplifting and employee theft), compulsive shopping / spending / buying, and / or hoarding disorders.
Mr. Shulman uses the following program to train and certify counselors in all these disorders:
Counselor/Therapist training sessions are conducted one-on-one with Mr. Shulman himself (in person, by phone or via Skype). Dates and times will be negotiated between Mr. Shulman and the trainee.
If you wish to be trained in assessing and treating compulsive shoplifting, employee theft, shopping/spending, and hoarding, the training is 10-hours long and will be completed on a schedule negotiated between Mr. Shulman and the trainee.
If you wish to be trained in only one of the four areas of specialty listed above, Mr. Shulman offers a 3-hour training.
Further, if you are interested in joining other counselors/therapists in group training to reduce costs/fees, please secure a group of 2-5 therapists.

- A certificate of completion for the training dated and signed by Mr. Shulman.
- Inclusion of your name and contact info on Mr. Shulman’s resource website page.
- Referrals to you from prospective clients in your area who contact Mr. Shulman and a listing on this web site as a counseling resource.
- Continued free access to Mr. Shulman by e-mail or phone for short follow-up questions post-completion of the training.
